Here is a copy of the statement from the MAAC regarding discipline handed out following Tuesday night’s incident between Siena and Rider:
After a thorough review of the video and the game officials’ reports, the following course of action has been determined by MAAC Commissioner Rich Ensor:

Rider’s Anthony Durham and Siena’s Marquis Wright have each been suspended one game per the NCAA Fighting Rules after both receiving Flagrant 2 fouls and ejections from the game. Both student athletes will be required to sign the MAAC Sportsmanship Statement.

Rider University Head Coach Kevin Baggett and Siena College Head Coach Jimmy Patsos will be reprimanded for unsportsmanlike behavior and will be required to sign the MAAC Sportsmanship Statement.
The following is a quote addressing the statement from Siena College Vice President and Director of Athletics John D’Argenio
“The MAAC members have a process for these situations and we respect that process and this outcome.” It’s a learning opportunity for all of us.”

Siena Basketball senior guard Marquis Wright will serve his one-game suspension tomorrow night when the Saints play Saint Peter’s at 8 PM in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Siena Athletics said they would have no further comment on the incident or the statement from the MAAC.

I was at the game and then watched the full replay numerous times on DVR, not the edited version where the media cut out the portion where Baggett went after Wright in a rage. Why are they protecting him? I did not see Patsos go after Durham or any other Rider player. I don't understand why Ensor gives both coaches the same reprimand. Are they in grade school? Baggett should have been suspended for at least one game, maybe the school will send the right message. His first reaction should have been to break up the fight, not add more fuel.
