Trenity Burdine Departs From Siena


Following a great deal of speculation over the last several weeks, it has been confirmed by Siena head coach Jimmy Patsos that Trenity Burdine is no longer with the team.

After Burdine’s name was removed earlier today from the roster on the Siena Saints website, Mark Singelais of the Times Union reported via Twitter that Patsos confirmed Burdine’s departure.

Burdine, coming off a redshirt season as a sophomore due to a foot injury, showed great promise however he had a year tarnished by off-the-court issues this past season. He was suspended twice, the first for an undisclosed violation of athletic department policy at the beginning of the year, and for second time later in the season for academic reasons. He was said to have continuing academic difficulties at the end of the academic year.

A 6-6 forward from Reading, PA, Burdine was the team’s 5th leading scorer (8.2 ppg.) appearing in 23 games and starting 15.
