Siena To Host Radford in ESPN BracketBuster

Siena will host Radford in the ESPN Bracketbuster game to be held on Sunday, February, 24th at noon.

Radford of the Big South conference is currently 10-13 overall and 4-5 in league play. The Highlanders are led by sophomore Javonte Green, who averages 13.7 points and 7.8 rebounds per game, and sophomore guard R.J. Price who averages team highs in points points, 14.5, and assists, 2.6.

Of note this season, the Highlanders played West Virgina close on December 22 on West Virginia’s home court, losing 72-62.

In their history, Radford has made two NCAA tournament appearances, 1998 and 2009, losing to Tobacco Road rivals Duke (99-63 in 1998) and North Carolina (101-58) respectively.

This will be the third all-time matchup between the two schools with Siena winning both previous contests, the last being a 67-59 overtime victory on November 21, 2000.

Siena will play at Radford in the agreed upon return game in either 2013-14 or 2014-15. This is the final year of the BracketBusters series.

Siena will also fulfill last years BracketBuster obligation next season in a home game vs Hofsta.
