Siena Legend: Justin Miller

Justin Miller played for Siena from 2000-2004. He is 14th all-time in rebounds with 672, averaging 5.2 per game over his career. He finished his career averaging 7.2 points, 1.2 assists, .09 blocks and .07 steals per game. An outstanding student athlete he was named to the MAAC All-Academic Team in 2002, 2003, and 2004.

 He was part of the MAAC Tournament Championship Team in 2002 that went on to the NCAA Tournament where they defeated Alcorn State 81-77 in the opening round, a game in which he scored 14 points. In the MAAC Tourney final he had an outstanding performance against Niagara with 14 points, 12 rebounds, 4 blocks and 4 steals. During the 2002-2003 season they defeated Providence (89-81 and finished with a 21-11 record. They went on to the Postseason NIT where they defeated Villanova, 74-59(11 points, 4 rebounds) and Western Michigan, 68-62 (20 points, 13 rebounds) before falling to Alabama Birmingham (80-71).


 How did you end up attending Siena?

The reason I ended up at Siena was largely in part to coach Hewitt getting me to come for a visit…and the rest was history!

What is your favorite Siena memory on the court?

Favorite on court memory: winning 4 games in 4 nights at the Pepsi to win the MAAC tourney and make it to the NCAA tourney!


What is your favorite Siena memory off the court?

Favorite off court memory: all of the events that surrounded the NCAA tourney…they will be with me forever!


What have you been doing since you left Siena?

I played overseas for a few seasons, then played a season with the CBA Albany Patroons before pursuing my professional life after basketball. I am currently in pharmaceutical sales…


Where do you reside, and tell us about your family:

I currently reside in Rochester NY with my fiancée…


What are you most looking forward to about the Legends Game?

I am most looking forward to getting to see all of the Siena family that I haven’t seen in a long time! Some of the best people I’ve ever met…
