Rossiter Named Asia-basket.com Player of the Week

Former Siena Saint Ryan Rossiter has been named the Asia-basket.com Player of the Week following a 31-point, 14-point double-double performance in a 91-63 win for Tochigi Brex over Hitatchi SR on Saturday. The all-time leader in rebounds in Siena history followed up Saturday’s monster game with 22 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists in a 97-86 victory over Hitachi on Sunday. With the wins, Tochigi has moved to a record of 10-6 and is currently tied for 2nd place in the Eastern Division of the Japanese National Basketball League.

Rossiter who currently leads his teams in points and rebounds is currently 4th in the 12-team NBL in scoring (19.8 ppg.), 6th in rebounding (10.2 rpg.) and 10th in blocks (0.9 bpg.). He has 7 double-doubles in the first 16 games and has scored in double figures in 12 straight games, 14 of 16 overall. He has also had 7 straight 20+ point performances.

Now in his third professional season, Rossiter spent his first two seasons playing for the Canton Charge of the NBA Developmental League (2012-13) and Denain ASC Voltaire of the France ProB League (2011-12).
