Ronald Moore Marches On

Even though Ronald Moore is in Slovakia, which is a long way from the Times Union Center in Albany, NY he is in a very familiar position.  As was the norm during his time as a Siena Saint he is running the point for his team in the post season. His Nitra team will take on Vahostav-Zinina in game two of the semi finals today at noon eastern time. Leading the current series 1-0 his team won a hard fought 5 game quarter final series 3-2 v. B. Bystrica to advance. As usual Ronald was a key player in that series which ended in a crazy game 5 with Ronald scoring 17 points with 5 assists. In the closing minutes a wild melee broke out on the court and just as the dust began to settle another skirmish broke out amongst the fans. Most inportantly Nitra hung on to a 75-71 victory.

When we checked in with Ronald today he was on his way to game two of the semi finals and we asked him how his first postseason as a professional was going. “I’m doing good.I had a good series in the 1st round. (avg. 18pts 11ast and 7 rbd) and in the 1st game of the semi finals” (18pts 11ast 7 rbd 3 steals). No question his experience in the post season has prepared him for the big games as a professional.

On the season Ronald’s numbers have been solid. He is the third leading scorer on his team. 15.5 ppg. and is avering 4.8 rebounds. When we asked him if he was looking forward to coming home. “I’m definitely anxious to get home but I want to get this championship before I do so”. With the “Maestro” leading the way for team Nitra, 4guysinblazers love their chances.
