Prince Oduro Commits To Siena

We have learned that Siena has landed an important recruit for 2017 with the commitment of 6-8 big man Prince Oduro from Toronto, Canada. This was confirmed when he announced his decision on Thursday morning via Twitter.

Oduro is a solid recruit. Coach Jimmy Patsos and his staff beat out a long list of schools persuing Oduro. Among those with interest and offers in him were , Cleveland State, Oregon State, Pittsburgh, Niagara, Fordham, Quinnipiac, Evansville, Toledo, Canisius, Morehead State, UAlbany, Central Connecticut State, UIC, Robert Morris, Towson, Duquesne, St. Bonaventure, St. Francis (Pa.) and Kennesaw State.

Oduro comes from First Love Christian Academy in Washington Pa. and competed for Canada Elite on the Under Armour AAU circuit. He is described by prephoopers.com as a “versatile stretch four that can excel in pick and pop as well as with his back to the basket. He runs the floor extremely well and can guard 3 thru 5.”

    BROWN led SIENA to a stunning defeat of the highly favored Stanford team in the 1989 NCAA MARCH MADNESS tournament, 80-78, Brown made the game winning free throws en route to a 80-78 victory.
    BROWN will be receiving the BARRY KRAMER LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD.
    MIKE DEANE, who coached the 1989 team, will be receiving the SAM PERKINS LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD. Deane recently retired with 437 career coaching wins.
