MAAC Schools To Hold College Fair

The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference
Offers High School Students a Look at College
(Albany, NY – February 27, 2015) – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) has organized a college fair for high school students in the Albany area in conjunction with the 2015 MAAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships. The MAAC College Fair will take place on Thursday, March 5 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the North Concourse of the Empire State Plaza in Albany NY.
High School students, mostly juniors, will go to the Empire State Plaza to participate in this event. At the MAAC College Fair, there will be admissions information set-up from all eleven colleges and universities and also a representative to talk with prospective students. Students will be able to learn about the opportunities that each of the MAAC schools has to offer.
The MAAC College Fair will feature keynote speaker Jimmy Patsos, Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Siena College. To follow, there will also be a panel made up of admissions representatives from most of the MAAC schools discussing the admissions process and answering frequently asked questions about applying to school.
Schools participating in the MAAC College Fair include Canisius College, Fairfield University, Iona College, Manhattan College, Marist College, Monmouth University, Niagara University, Quinnipiac University, Rider University, Saint Peter’s University and Siena College.
This event is a great opportunity for these students to get to know the schools in the MAAC and it will be sure to provide insight to students about applying to college and will encourage them to look into furthering their education.
