Kadeem Smithen To Transfer To Siena

Kadeem Smithen, a 6-3 combo guard from Ajax, Ontario Canada has chosen to attend Siena. Smithen, who is transferring after spending his freshman season at Richmond was on a visit to the Loudonville campus this weekend when he tweeted that Siena and the Times Union Center would be his new home.


Smithen will sit out the upcoming season per NCAA transfer rules and will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Originally recruited by Siena, Smithen chose Richmond where played in 23 games for the Spiders averaging 3.6 minutes and 0.5 points for Richmond this season.

In high school, Smithen averaged 21 points, 5 assists  4 rebounds and 2 steals at Thornlea Secondary. He was ranked 21st in the 2014 Canadian class by Northpolehoops.com.
