Ida Krough Scores Career High In Loss To Niagara

Ida Krogh scored a career-high of 21 points hitting seven  three-pointers in her first start of the season, but it was not enough as the Saints fell to Niagara 76-72 at the Times Union Center

Niagara’s Meghan McGuinness hit 7 of her own from beyond the arc  on 11 attempts on her way to a career-high 29 points for the Purple Eagles (4-10, 2-3).

Entering the game Siena had won the previous nine matchups with Niagara and was 26-4 all time in the series.

Tehresa Coles scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds and a season-high five steals for Siena (6-8, 1-4), while Kelsey Booth added 9 points off the bench.

The Saints hit a season-high 12 three-pointers for the game.

Siena forced Niagara to commit an astounding 32 turnovers but allowed the Purple Eagles too many easy baskets as they shot 15-26 (57.7%) in the second half and 53% for the game. Meanwhile the Saints committed 27 turnovers of their own.

The Saints return to action on Monday at the ARC for the Fourth Annual BlueShield of Northeastern New York “Kid’s Day” Game when the Saints host Monmouth at 11 a.m. Nearly 2,000 schoolchildren and their teachers from 10 Capital Region area schools will be in attendance.
