Hasbrouck To Be Inducted Into Siena Athletics Hall of Fame



Former Siena Saint Kenny Hasbrouck ’09 been chosen to be inducted to the Siena Athetics Hall of Fame. He along with Baseball’s Chris Alesio ’89 and his fellow Class of 2009 graduates, April London (volleyball) and Sarah Mayer (women’s tennis) will be enshrined to the 2014 class prior to the men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader on Sunday, Dec. 28.

Hasbrouck is one of just four Siena Men’s Basketball players to have his jersey retired. The Saints’ all-time leader in steals (248) and fourth all-time leading scorer (1,917), he was twice named the MAAC Tournament MVP after leading the Saints to back-to-back championships in 2008 and 2009.

“I’m very honored and grateful to be inducted into the Siena HOF,” said Hasbrouck. “Thank you to all my teammates, coaches, team managers, fans, the Siena community and last but not least Coach Mac!”

Following his senior season, the Capitol Heights, Md. native was named an AP Honorable Mention All-American, MAAC Player of the Year and First Team NABC All-District selection. As a junior, he was tabbed Siena College’s Male Student Athlete of the Year, the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Player of the Year, Second Team NABC All-District and a First Team All-MAAC selection. The 2005-06 MAAC Rookie of the Year, Hasbrouck twice signed with the NBA’s Miami Heat. He has gone on to enjoy a stellar professional career overseas and currently plays for Mobyt Ferrara in Italy’s A2 Silver League.
