Breeden and Griffin Leaving?

WNYT’s Rodger Wyland is reporting that sophomore Jonathan Breeden is leaving the Siena program and will not return next season. Breeden played in all 31 games this year averaging 4.5 points per game while making great strides filling in at the point.  The same report also states what many have speculated for weeks, Kyle Griffin, who is on schedule to graduate this school year, will not return despite having a year of eligibilty left.
UPDATE 4/1/2011

The Times Union is reporting Kyle Griffin has confirmed via text message that he will not be returning to Siena in the fall.

UPDATE 4/5/2011

Today Siena has confirmed that Jonathan Breeden and Kyle Griffin will not return to the team next season.  They both have been granted releases by Siena.  Griffin will graduate and Breeden says he is leaving for family reasons and to play closer to home in PA.

    A bit odd that the UA homer from 13 is the one to drop this announcement. Breeden should get the nod at the 2 guard this season over Downey.
