Now in his third professional season, former Siena Saint Alex Franklin is heading to Poland where he will play for AZS Koszalin of the TBL, Poland’s top league.

Franklin spent a brief time in Germany with the Fraport Skyliners to start this season before heading to his most recent stop playing for Soles de Mexicali of the LNBP, Mexico’s top league.

Mexicali started the season with a record of 1-4 but after Franklin’s arrival the Soles won 18 consecutive games as he averaged 14 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.6 steals per game. After leaving Mexico for business reasons, Franklin told us he is looking forward to this new opportunity.

“Poland is a great opportunity to get back into the European market, very excited, heard really good things about the team and it’s fans. I just want to make the best out of this opportunity, and help the team accomplish the goals they have set.”

Franklin spent time with teams in France, Spain, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic last season

While in Puerto Rico he helped win the BSN league championship with the Mayaguez Indians, and was named Finals MVP. He also competed with the Puerto Rican National team at the end of last season.
