Adam Chaskin Out at Siena

In a move to shakeup the coaching staff, the Siena Saints announced yesterday that assistant coach Adam Chaskin will not be returning to Siena next season. Following a disappointing 13-18 season, a season that began with the Saints projected to finish second in the MAAC, the fact a move was made is hardly astonishing, its just likely not the move that many fans were hoping might happen.

Head Coach Mitch Buonaguro stated in an interview with the Times Union’s Mark Singelais, that he would look to replace Chaskin with a coach that is a former head coach with division 1 experience.  A time frame was not given as to when this search would conclude due to the significance of the hire.

New blood, especially with head coaching experience, can only improve the Saints who looked absolutely lost on the coaching front for much of the season. As fans i doubt there is anyone among us who did not see the need for changes to be made at this level. We are optimistic that new blood can infuse new life into the game planning and management of the team.

We here at 4guysinblazers wish Coach Chaskin well in his future endeavors and thank him for his 6 seasons with the Saints.
